April 3, 2020 (Chicago, IL) Women And Drones is thrilled to announce the fourth annual Women To Watch (WTW) Global Awards initiative. More than 471 women from eight countries were nominated last year. With a new name and expanded award structure this year, the intent of the Women To Watch Global Awards is the same according to CEO Sharon Rossmark, “In recognizing the achievements of a few, we hope to motivate many.”
The individual awards honor the amazing women who are developing and implementing innovative solutions, leading people and companies, shaping regulation and policy, educating our future workforce, positively influencing public perceptions of UAS, and serving as inspirational role models for us all. Two new co-ed team awards in the categories of Humanitarian and Innovation, celebrate a group, company, agency or organization that actively encourages and inspires women to disrupt and innovate within the UAS industry. Nominations can be submitted online at Women To Watch Global Awards. Submissions will be accepted until Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 11:59 pm CST.
The initiative will conclude with the live global announcement at the InterDrone conference in Dallas, TX at the Hyatt Regency during the Women To Watch Global Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. All conference attendees with Expo Plus and full conference passes are invited to attend the luncheon however they must preregister for the luncheon via the InterDrone website.
